Elvin Bishop & Charlie Musselwhite
Blues Hall of Fame inductees guitarist Elvin Bishop and harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite headline a rare meeting of musical minds, perfectly seasoned with decades of experience.
In their long careers, Bishop and Musselwhite have become synonymous with the blues. Bishop is perhaps best known for his solo chart-topping hit, “Fooled Around and Fell in Love.” And talk about staying power — both musicians earned 2019 Grammy Award nominations for Best Traditional Blues Album. These artists are masters of their instruments and together, their music is sublime. Glide Magazine has characterized Bishop’s freestyle jamming as “beautiful chaos.” And the San Francisco Chronicle says “Harmonica virtuoso Musselwhite raises the level of emotional expression on his instrument beyond even the masters he learned from…the grizzled veteran richly decorates his music with telling nuance and chiseled detail.”
