Velocity Irish Dance
Velocity Irish Dance is the next generation in Irish tap. Honoring past traditions yet transporting them feet-first into the 21st century, Velocity Irish Dance redefines the idea of what an Irish dance show should be. This high-octane interpretation is expressive, free spirited, and edgy, driven by passion and pride. Velocity Irish Dance is led by Guinness World Record holder for The Fastest Feet in the World, James Devine, and five-time World Champion Irish dancer, David Geaney. These two illustrious Irish hoofers come together in an intimate, no-nonsense jam session of impossible scuffles, shuffles and every step in between.
They’re joined on stage by a crew of mind-blowing musicians including one old school scratch DJ. Described by The New York Times as an “energetic intimate history lesson, more than a sequined spectacular, Velocity Irish Dance is a multimedia show for all ages, earnestly tracing the evolution of Irish dance while toying with tradition.” Velocity Irish Dance delivers on the promise of its name, staging a riveting, fast-paced celebration of the past, present and future of Irish dance.
